John G. Shack, Jr. is a graduate of Boston College, where he received a Liberal Arts Degree in 1972 and an MBA in 1976. He graduated Cum Laude from Suffolk University Law School in 1984. Mr. Shack has a private law practice in Woburn where he is engaged in general civil practice, with an emphasis on business and employment law, bankruptcy and computer and intellectual property law as it relates to software, consulting, training and publishing.
John has been married to Marie for 40 years. They live in Woburn. They have two children, Ameena and John, who were adopted by them as infants from Beirut, Lebanon. Ameena has given them three grandchildren, Kayla, Arianna and Giada. John is past president of the Rotary Club of Woburn, past president of the Board of Managers of the North Suburban Branch of the YMCA of Greater Boston and serves on the board of several charitably organizations. John is a decorated veteran of the Vietnam War, where he served in the Marine Corps.
